![]() Dorian Gray, July 2011, Cockpit Theatre // Photo (c) Gemma Mount | Theatre is a place where you should take risks, where you should aim for the impossible in order to achieve something great. I believe that theatre is one of the most powerful mediums of the arts because it lives through the shared experience of the audience and it can make us feel things which we can't describe with words. I want to present plays in a modern way without changing the intentions of the playwright and I constantly expand my theatrical imagination to find the best approach for each play. I embrace theatricality and I like to integrate different elements such as music, movement and video in my productions to create a thrilling and very visual piece of theatre that challenges the audience to see things from a different perspective. |
REVIEWS

"Pamela Schermann's deft, incisive direction moves the action along quickly, it travels us from dance-floor to stagecoach whilst at the same time never letting us leave the prison cell." -- Remotegoat on "The Last Day", Waterloo East Theatre 2012.
"I saw Pamela Schermann's production of Dorian Gray (July 2011, Cockpit Theatre) and I was extremely impressed with her work as a director. It was her own adaptation of Oscar Wilde's novel and it combined the text with music and physical elements to create a thrilling and visually stunning piece of theatre." -- David Thacker, Artistic Director Octagon Bolton
